Our Dietary Department provides nutritious and delicious meals. We follow a four week seasonal menu cycle providing variety and offering two choices of entrée and dessert, thus allowing residents to continue to make their own food choices. We also respond to individual food preferences. Residents attending our monthly Residents' Council are involved in planning the menu.
The staff Dietitian assesses and monitors the dietary needs of the residents. We provide special diets and array of textured diets including regular, minced and pureed. The Dietitian works with the Resident Care Department to monitor changes in each resident's weight and to respond to their changing dietary needs.
Meals are served in two seatings in the dining rooms located in each Home Area
Breakfast: 8:15 or 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:15 or 12:30 p.m.
Supper: 5:15 or 5:30 p.m.
Beverages are served mid morning, afternoon and before bedtime; snacks are served in the afternoon and before bedtime.
We provide festive fare to help celebrate special occasions (Easter Dinner, Sweetheart Luncheon and Christmas Day) and encourage family and friends to make arrangements to enjoy a meal or special occasion with their loved one.
